Vicki Ambery-SmithARTIST'S STATEMENTVicki Ambery-Smith has earned an international reputation for her unique style of jewellery based on interpretations of architecture. Growing up in Oxford provided the starting point which has developed over 25 years into a theme that draws from ancient Greece to contemporary Europe and America. Some pieces are designed to reflect her interest for a specific place while others are based on a building of significance to the client.COUNTRY OF RESIDENCEUK EDUCATIONFachhochschuler, Schwabicsh-Gmund, 1975 Jewellery Design, Middlesex Polytchnic, 1976 Art Foundation, Oxford Polytechnic, 1973 SELECTED EXHIBITIONSPlight of the Bee, Contemporary Applied Arts, 2010 Bristol Architecture Centre, 2010 Shetland Arts, Scotland, 2010 Leeds City Art & Design Gallery, 2010 Silver with a Pinch of Salt, Goldsmith's Hall, London, UK 2009 Grey-Harris Gallery, Bristol, 2008 Contemporary Applied Arts, London, UK 2008 Creation II, Goldsmith's Hall, London, 2007 Treasures of Today, Fitswilliam Museum, Cambridge, 2007 The Ring Show, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, 2007 Grey-Harris Gallery, Bristol, 2007 Loot, Design Museum, New York, 2006 Hipotesi, Barcelona, 2006 Leslie Craze Gallery, London, 2006 Velvet da Vinci, San Francisco, 2005 Stone Gallery, Burford, Oxfordshire, 2005 Leslie Craze 20th Anniversary Exhibition, 2004 Goldsmith's Fair, London, England 2004 Roger Billcliffe Gallery, Glasgow, 2004 Architecture Centre, Bristol, England, 2003 Pipers & Kojen, New York, 2003 New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham, England, 2003 Hipotesi, Barcelona, Spain, 2001 Goldsmith's Fair, London British designers, St. Louis, Missouri, 2001 The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh, Scotland 2000 Roger Billcliffe Gallery, Glasgow, Scotland 1999 Spectacle Frames, Highgloss, Houston, TX, 1999 British jewellery, Society of Arts & Crafts, Boston, MA, 1999 Spectacles: A recent History with LA Eyeworks at Crafts Council, London, England 1997 Islington Makers, Leslie Craze Gallery, London, England, 1996 Dazzle, Manchester, England, 1996 Christmas Leading Lights, Oxford Gallery, Oxford, England, 1995 Architectural Gems, Electrum Gallery, London, England, 1995 What is Jewellery?
